Here is one of our daycare children building with Lego blocks, a great tool for developing fine motor skills, task focus, and creativity. Created by a toy manufacturer in Denmark in the 1940s, Lego blocks were one of the first inductees into the National Toy Hall of Fame in Rochester, New York. There is no doubt about the popularity of Lego blocks worldwide, but did you know that The Space Shuttle Endeavor brought 13 Lego kits into space in 2011?
Maybe this student will grow up to attend one of the many Lego gatherings across the county, where fans of all ages come together to share their continuing interest in the Lego experience. But in the meantime, our student will stretch his imagination as he builds here at Apple Hill Academy, where we use a wide range of toys for fun learning experiences.
